Guest at ARTECHNE project: Descartes Visiting Research Fellow Katrien Vanagt

Katrien Vanagt will join the Descartes Center and the ERC ARTECHNE project in September for three months as a visiting fellow.

About the researcher

Katrien Vanagt (Belgium, 1977) studied Romance Philology, and Cultural and Intellectual History of the Renaissance in Ghent, Paris and London. In one of her research projects, Vanagt reconstructed historical experiments dealing with eyes and the camera obscura. Her film ‘In Waking Hours’ is based on these experiments.
