Descartes History of Science Colloquium with Anita Guerrini, 21 May 2019

With Anita Guerrini (Oregon State University), a historian of the life sciences and medicine with research interests in environmental history and the history of animals. More information about her presentation will follow soon. The History of Science Colloquium is organized by the Descartes Centre for the History and Philosophy of the Sciences and the Humanities. The Descartes Centre is a joint collaboration of all seven Faculties at Utrecht University. The Descartes Centre contributes to the social and political debate by critically reflecting on the foundations and the dissemination of scientific knowledge and the role of rhetoric in these processes.
