Sven Dupré, Jenny Boulboullé and Marieke Hendriksen will present at workshop ‘Ingenuity in the Making’, hosted by Cambridge University

Sven Dupré will give a keynote lecture at the workshop ‘Ingenuity in the Making’ at Cambridge University. Marieke Hendriksen and Jenny Boulboullé will give papers at the same workshop, hosted by the ERC project Genius Before Romanticism: Ingenuity in Early Modern Art and Science. This five-year ERC-funded research project, led by Dr Alexander Marr, Department of History of Art, will examine notions of unique talent, heightened imagination and extraordinary creativity in art and science by exploring the language, theories, practices and products of ingenium (ingenuity) ca. 1450–ca. 1750. More details on the programme will follow soon.
